Cross-generational Mentoring Ministry

If you are in your 20’s or 30’s and desire to be mentored by an older lady in our church then you are a perfect candidate for our Titus 2 ministry called “@ the table.” @ the Table is in its second year of ministry. We currently have 6 small groups that meet late August thru April. This is a Titus 2 mentoring ministry that is designed for your generation through practical cooking tips, decor, homemaking and spiritual insights. You will be assigned to a small group of ladies (4-6 people only) and paired with a mentor and a co-mentor. You will meet with your mentor in their home twice a month to make a meal and gather around the table for fellowship. We are using the books by Dianne Lynn Dougharty. There are four books in this series. We will be launching book one this fall.

JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself)

Philemon 1:7 proclaims, “Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, [sister], have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.”
Do you have a heart for missions? The JOY ministry provides opportunities to serve Jesus, by meeting the needs of others. By putting Jesus first, others second, and then ourselves, we learn to experience true, biblical joy in the Lord! Join us as we pray for, seek out, and minister to our neighbors and the nations.

The JOY ministry meets once a season (the second Thursday of February, May, August, November) to pray over, learn about, and serve our local and international ministry partners. The meetings take place at 6:30P, locations vary.

Spotswood MOMs

Spotswood MOMs exists to connect and encourage women with young children to grow in their roles as mothers through biblical principles. Our group meets the first and third Thursday of the month, September through May. Our meetings provide fellowship and learning opportunities that equip moms with practical skills for many mothering challenges. MOMs also offers many activities outside of regular meetings for moms, kids and families to enjoy. Our group began over 10 years ago as a MOPs group meeting at Spotswood Baptist Church and still holds a similar structure and opportunities to local mothers as we have in the past.

MOMs is available to women in the local area with children birth-5 years old. Childcare is available during our meetings for children of MOMs members. Children are placed in classes by age and enjoy fun and learning opportunities with caring workers.
