At Spotswood, it’s important to us that you know you are valued and useful. Everyone matters, so we don’t want you to get lost in the shuffle. The members of our church are burdened about four things: worship, small groups, community, and missions. It would be a tragedy if you stopped at the worship part. We want you to get involved, which is why we’ve provided the resources below.
Consider your spiritual gifts, natural abilities and skills, as well as the experiences God has allowed you to have, and ask God how these abilities can be used in the Body of Christ here at Spotswood. Once you’re ready to get involved, you can find a complete listing of all the ways you can invest in Spotswood, as well as many ways to help in the community and throughout the world. Don’t stop here, start meeting needs!
“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations but it is the same God which worketh in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”1 Corinthians 12:4-7
Serve at Spotswood.
Our First Impressions ministry is responsible for creating the inviting environment you experience on Sunday mornings. If you can smile and offer a welcoming handshake, you’re perfect for this ministry.
It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a whole army to pull of childcare for all of our children from birth – grade five, but we do it well, and we’d love for you to join the team.
We have opportunities for musicians and singers of all styles. We even have an incredible program for introducing our younger students into the larger music world.
We want our middle and high school students to experience life change because of Jesus, one step at a time. One way we accomplish that is by putting adults close to them who live lives worth emulating. If you’d like to engage with students, click the button below and we’ll help you take that step!
Keeping our members safe and secure is a priority at Spotswood. We are looking for men and women who would like to join us in that effort. Previous law enforcement / first responder experience is not required.
If you enjoy technical, behind the scenes opportunities, we are always looking for help with our audio/visual and IT areas, we’ll even provide training if you’re not completely confident.
We create content to expand the Kingdom by using various creative skills. That typically looks like photography, video, graphic design, copy writing, web design, and more. We’re always looking for new Team Members to join our team.
Serve the Community.
In past years, KAIROS has been an event for Fredericksburg families by providing them with clothing and supplies for school-aged children.
Our Church Plants
We want to get the Gospel into our community and meet people where they are. To accomplish this mission, we have invested in church plants. Click “Learn More” for our church plants.
On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday we serve our community by providing food, counsel and warm smiles. We can always use another set of hands with this invaluable ministry to so many families in our area.
Serve the World.
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) is the primary way we support mission efforts in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to AAEO are used to support Southern Baptist missionaries serving across the United States and Canada.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
Since 1845, the International Mission Board has partnered with churches to send missionaries to live and work among those around the world with little to no access to the gospel.
