Our Mission
At Spotswood, it’s important to us that you know you are valued and useful. Everyone matters, so we don’t want you to get lost in the shuffle. The members of our church are burdened with four things: worship, small groups, community, and missions. It would be a tragedy if you stopped at the worship part. We want you to get involved, which is why we’ve provided the resources below.
Consider your spiritual gifts, natural abilities, and skills, as well as the experiences God has allowed you to have, and ask God how these abilities can be used in the Body of Christ here at Spotswood. Once you’re ready to get involved, you can find a complete listing of all the ways you can invest in Spotswood, as well as many ways to help in the community and throughout the world. Serve at Spotswood
Kids Ministry
It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a whole army to pull off childcare for all of our children from birth to grade five, but we do it well, and we’d love for you to join the team.
Student Ministry
We want our middle and high school students to experience life change because of Jesus, one step at a time. One way we accomplish that is by putting adults close to them who live lives worth emulating. If you’d like to engage with students, click the button below and we’ll help you take that step!
Special Needs Ministry
You are welcome to serve weekly, bi-monthly, or once a month on Sundays. Together, we can make a difference by investing in the lives of these children and their families.
Women's Ministry
We’d love to have you join our team! At our events, we always need greeters and table leaders. For MomCo and our Bible studies, we need a few people to help provide childcare for just a couple of hours a week. Your service will lift the spirits of the young moms in our church more than you can imagine.
Worship Team
We have opportunities for musicians and singers of all styles. We even have an incredible program for introducing our younger students to the larger music world.
Tech Team
If you enjoy technical, behind-the-scenes opportunities, we are always looking for help with our audio/visual and IT areas, we’ll even provide training if you’re not completely confident.
Security Team
Keeping our members safe and secure is a priority at Spotswood. We are looking for men and women who would like to join us in that effort. Previous law enforcement / first responder experience is not required.
Parking Lot Safety Team
Creating a safe and excellent first impression from the first moment each person drives onto our campus. We are looking for men and women who would join us in that effort.
Deacons
Our Deacons serve faithfully to meet the material and practical needs of our church, following the lead of the first Deacons in Acts 6:1-6, and allowing our pastoral team to focus on the spiritual needs of the church.

Love FXBG
LoveFXBG is our core outreach initiative — it exists to inspire our people and mobilize them toward a lifestyle of serving. As a church, we’re here for FXBG and we want our city to know that and feel the love we have for them. Nothing would thrill us more than to see FXBG change because of the generosity and love of our people.

Since 1845, the International Mission Board has partnered with churches to send missionaries to live and work among those around the world with little to no access to the gospel.
2026 GOAL: To keep 4 families on the mission field. That’s a total of $240,000.
Mission Partnerships
At Spotswood, we are passionate about shining a Gospel light locally and globally by partnering with missionaries and organizations who are making disciples. We don’t do “mission trips.” We value partnerships that last years or even decades to advance the Gospel.
