Sundays at 9:30A & 11A
We provide a safe, nurturing environment for preschoolers (birth–age 4) to learn. Using The Gospel Project curriculum from Lifeway, our classes walk through the Bible chronologically over three years.
Because preschoolers learn best through play, lessons are activity-based and hands-on, reinforcing the weekly Bible story in creative ways. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to see what your preschooler will be learning each week.
During your first visit, our team will help you register your child at one of our check-in stations. Preschoolers may attend class for both hours, remaining in the same classroom during worship and Connect Group time.
Children are offered a snack of Ritz crackers (gluten-free options include Mott’s fruit snacks or Cheerios) and water; any alternate snacks are posted outside the classroom.
To help our ministry run smoothly, parents of preschoolers are expected to serve once a month. However, any adult or mature teen in our church family is encouraged to serve in this vital ministry.
Thank you for allowing us to help build a foundation for your tiny disciples. We are thankful for the privilege of partnering with you during these essential years.

A Message From Pastor David
The Kids Ministry Team at Spotswood considers it a privilege from God to share biblical instruction and love with your child. We view ourselves as partners with you. As a parent, you make the most significant spiritual impact on your child. Talking about God and His goodness teaches your child about the nature of God. Telling your child about your own faith in Christ and your convictions about His Word shows your child the importance of personal commitment. Regular Bible Study, prayer, family devotional, and church attendance demonstrate the priority of God in your life. These are critical years as you lay the foundation for your child’s future. It is our prayer that, like Jesus, your child will grow “in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.” (Luke 2:52)
David Short
Kids Pastor
A few times a year, we invite families that are growing - biologically or through adoption - to commit to raising their child biblically through our Parent Dedication.
Upcoming Dedications:
It's almost time to move up! On Promotion Sunday, children will advance to their new age or grade-level groups, meet their new leaders, and kick off an exciting new year of learning and growing in their faith. Whether your child is entering preschool, elementary, or student ministry, we can't wait to celebrate this milestone with your family. Join us as we begin a brand-new season together!
Date: August 9
Bring the whole family and join us for a relaxed evening of fun and community! We'll fire up the grill, enjoy a family-friendly movie, and have plenty of space for kids to ride their bikes and scooters while parents connect with friends. Whether you're brand new or you've been around for years, this is a great opportunity to slow down, make memories, and spend time together. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, your bikes and scooters, and get ready for a fun Fall evening!
