Spotswood Creative
Spotswood creative is a ministry devoted to glorifying the Lord through creativity and worship.
What is Spotswood Creative?
We believe that worship is the only appropriate response to God’s love and grace for His children. Worship is a holy action, centered in Christ and expressed biblically in a multitude of ways. God cares more about the intention of our worship as opposed to the form of our worship, be it song, dance, visual art, poetry, and beyond. This is Spotswood Creative: a ministry devoted to glorifying the Lord through creativity and worship.
Our Worship Philosophy
At Spotswood, our worship services are to be an expression of His desire for the Church and what He has revealed to us to be the future of believers. We strive for everything we do to meet these standards: that God would be glorified and to edify the body. We pray that our worship would be welcoming to those who do not believe, as well as a testimony of our faith, hope, and love.
Through Spirit-led services, we hope to have a greater concept of who God is once we are finished worshiping together. Our leaders thoughtfully plan each service according to scripture and hope for life change as people carry out the act of mutual giving and receiving.

Pastor Josh Morton

Josh Morton began his time in ministry as an orchestra director at Taylors First Baptist Church in South Carolina, while also serving as a public school music educator for Greenville County Schools. At the end of his tenure at Taylors, Josh met his beautiful wife Hannah while working together in their community theater. Josh counts it an honor to lead worship with his wife each Sunday. Josh then served as Worship Minister for nearly 4 years at Greer First Baptist Church.
In 2020, Josh, along with his wife, Hannah, and their two dogs (Pete and Maizey) moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia were he currently serves as the Worship and Fine Arts Pastor of Spotswood Baptist Church.
Josh is passionate – as stated in the Spotswood Creative mission – about helping mend hearts, renewing minds, and leading people to worship God. He also has a passion for worship education – raising up, educating, and sending out worship leaders into the world. Josh received his B.A. from North Greenville University in South Carolina in 2008. In December of 2020, Josh Graduated from Liberty University with a M.A. in Music and Worship.
