Newborns

Your newborns are precious gifts from God and we consider it an honor to be entrusted with instilling a love for God in these young lives.

The Newborn ministry at Spotswood provides care for babies up to six months of age.

Your newborns are precious gifts from God and we consider it an honor to be entrusted with instilling a love for God in these young lives.

Our first priority is to provide a safe and sanitary environment for your child. As a result you will notice a strictly enforced security policy and also, we ask for only one parent to enter the newborn room when dropping off and picking up your infant.

The Newborn ministry at Spotswood provides care for babies up to six months of age.

This care begins at 8:15 AM on Sundays.

We have committed volunteers and various trained individuals who love the Lord and are dedicated to caring for your baby.

Each week we prepare an age appropriate Bible thought and principle covering one of eight spiritual areas: God, Jesus, Bible, Church, Self, Family, Others, and Natural World.

Having babies feel comfortable and happy in the church setting is an important part of a newborn's church experience. Associating church with good feelings, at an early age, helps to build a foundation for future church attendance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.

For us to provide optimum care for your newborn, please assist us in the following:

Label your child's name on all baby items (bottles, diaper bag, pacifier, car seat)
Each Sunday, fill out a security from and bring it with you.
Before leaving the newborn room, fill out the "white board" specifically for your child. (Leaving any special instructions in writing.)
When picking up your child, check the "white board" for you newborn's report while they were with us.
For the health of our newborns we ask that only "well babies" attend the newborn room so that others are not exposed to illness.
Siblings should not enter the newborn room for reasons of sanitation. We try to limit our traffic in this area to keep it as clean as possible.
