Since 1998, Spotswood Baptist Church members have joined other church teams to minister to the Brazilian people in small villages along the Amazon River and its tributaries in the hart of the Rainforest of the Amazon Valley. Hosted by the Amazon Mission Organization (AMOR), Spotswood Baptist Church members provide Medical, Dental, Optometry, and Pharmaceutical services, while engaging in Construction projects of opportunity (e.g., churches, schools, community centers, and home repair). While on the Brazilian mission field, Spotswood Baptist team members also conduct door-to-door Visitation, Bible School, Evangelism outreaches, and Evening Church Services. Reaching people for Jesus Christ is the underlying motive for Spotswood’s Brazilian Mission Outreach Program. The accompanying scenes typify life in the Amazon Valley as Spotswood Baptist team member’s labor in this “uttermost part of the earth.”
