Spotswood Baptist
Church has been partnered
with IMB missionaries since 2001 to reach the Susu in West
Africa with the Gospel message.
There are approximately 1.5 million Susu people
in Guinea and Sierra Leone West Africa that are among the millions of “unreached people”
in the world with little to no access to the Bible or knowledge of who Jesus
is. We send one or two short-term
mission teams each year to work with and encourage the IMB missionaries that
are serving full-time among the Susu.
Our trips are about 10 days in length, and cover a range of activities:
well-building projects, working in preschool classes, construction, visiting
and praying in different villages and communities, and lifting up the local
missionary community. There are no
special skills or requirements needed for these trips, other than a desire to
show the love of Jesus to people in a different culture. If you are interested in going on a trip, or
would like more information about praying for the Susu or supporting Susu
outreach ministries, please contact Jim Hart (
